Jacquelyn L. Lee, MA, LPC, SPADA

Jacquie grew up in Ohio where she earned a English and completed post-baccalaureate coursework in secondary education at the University of Akron. She moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan, in 1982, where she completed an M.A. in counseling at Michigan State University. Her post-graduate studies at Western Michigan University led to certification as a specialist in alcohol and drug abuse counseling.

In addition to Jacquie’s interest in helping clients overcome addictions, she enjoys offering Gottman Method Couples Therapy, an evidence-based and highly effective form of couples therapy. She has also pursued specialized training in EMDR therapeutic techniques (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) through EMDR Consulting, a professional training organization approved by the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA). One special area of concern for Jacquie is the impact of excessive technology use on mental health and human relationships. She has written extensively on this subject as former editor of the Michigan Counseling Association Newsletter.

Jacquie enjoys working with adults, pre-teens, and teens. She is committed to helping clients with a broad spectrum of challenges develop more satisfying lives.
